100/200 HR Ayurveda Massage Modalities

Service Description

Both courses will begin January 2023. This 100 hour ayurveda course will cover an introduction to Ayurveda philosphy and practices. This course is recognized by the CYA and can be used as additional educational hours for existing yoga teachers. Course commences January 2023 but will be dependent on covid requirements. For those interested a 200 hour Ayurveda Therapist course is also offered with the 2nd 100 hours taking place at Ayuskama Ayurveda Centre , Rishekesh, India November 2023. Course covers basic foundational Ayurveda concepts including Sankhya Philosophy, tridoshic theory, Gunas, attributes, aromatherapy, marma point massage, Indian Head Massage, face massage, Ayurveda Full body massage, ayurveda reflexology, greeva abhyangham , pada abhyangham. Those who successfully complete level 1 and may apply to complete level 2 with certification as an Ayurveda Therapist. Ayurveda Level 2 The second part of this course may be taken in India under the direction of Dr Vinod, Ayuskama Ayurveda Institute or in studio the following year. Level one is a prerequisite . Level 2 students will learn more in depth practices and philosophies building on their knowledge from level 1. This course focuses on individual therapies ,diseases , herbal protocols and those completing the course will graduate with certification as an Ayurveda Therapist. Some of the topics we expand on will be a deeper level of the doshas and subdoshas specific to disease. Herbal protocols and history of the top 20 herbs used in Ayurveda. Making our own concotions, herbal oils and pastes, tinctures and pills. Practical sessions will cover Ayurveda Tibetan Shiradhora Massage, bolus massage, kwaths and Kalkas. Valuka swedna, basti and sequencing of therapies. Our final massage will be affective memory massage which combines ayurveda, chinese medicine addressing the traumas and memories we hold within our bodies. For those wishing to go on to India this will be in October 2022 depending upon covid restrictions. This is an extra cost which will include airfare and 2 weeks, food , accommodations and course content at Ayuskama Ayurveda Institute, Rishekesh, India. ( For this with an existing background in Ayurveda and or massage modalities you may bypass level 1 and go direct to Level 2 )
